School Nursery Pupils – ONLY apply for your child if they are currently attending school nursery FULL days, otherwise apply when they transition into Reception Class.

Admissions

Primary to Secondary School If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, you need to apply for admission for a place in Secondary School (Year 7, September 2026) The Online System to apply for Secondary Places for September 2026 is now open and the National closing date is 31st October 2025. Please note - if you wish to apply for one of the Authority's Catholic Secondary Academies (*Secondary - St Peter's or Sacred Heart. Primary -as one of your preferences you will need to complete the main application and also a supplementary form. The supplementary form can be obtained from the School Admissions Section. Or if you require a paper form please contact the team via email to request one to be posted to you. You also need to enclose a copy of your child's Baptism Certificate (if available) with the supplementary form. A form needs to be return to each of the catholic academies.

If you wish to apply under exceptional social and/or medical grounds, you will need to submit supporting information by email.

If you have already started an online application and want to finish it, click on the link below "Continue Application". If you have already submitted an online application and want to change it click on the link below "Change Application". You can do either of these actions up to 23.59 on 31st October 2025.

Please remember that if you make changes to an application that has already been submitted you need to re-submit the application again after you have made the changes. When you re-submit the application, you will receive an email confirming re-submission. If you do not receive this, it has not been done correctly and we will be unable to process your application. Admission to Primary School If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, you need to apply for admission for a place in Primary School (Reception Class, September 2026) The Online System to apply for Primary Places for September 2026 will open on 18th November 2025. National closing date is 15th January 2026.

Please note: currently the online application process is unavailable for in-year admissions or mid-year transfer requests.
