School Nursery Pupils – ONLY apply for your child if they are currently attending school nursery FULL days, otherwise apply when they transition into Reception Class.

Admission to Primary School

  • If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, you need to apply for admission for a place in Primary School (Reception Class, September 2026)

  • The Online System to apply for Primary School Places for September 2026 will open on 17th November 2025 - National closing date is 15th January 2026.

The Primary Guide for Parents 2026-2027 booklet for Redcar & Cleveland contains very useful information which will help you to select your school preferences. The booklet is available on the Redcar and Cleveland website or by contacting the school admissions team by emailing schoolsAdmissions@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk .

Please note - if you wish to apply for one of the Authority's Catholic Primary Academies (Primary - St Benedict’s, St Bedes, St Gabriel’s, St Josephs, St Margaret Clitherow’s, St Marys and St Paulinus Roman Catholic Primary Academy) as one of your preferences you will need to complete the main application and also a supplementary form. The supplementary form can be downloaded from the website - link text. Or if you require a paper form please contact the team via email to request one to be posted to you. You also need to enclose a copy of your child's Baptism Certificate (if available) with the supplementary form. The form needs to be return to the School Admissions Team.

If you wish to apply under exceptional social and/or medical grounds, you will need to submit supporting information by email or upload to your online application (maximum of 5 uploads online).

If you have already started an online application and want to finish it, click on the link below "Continue Application". If you have already submitted an online application and want to change it click on the link below "Change Application".

Please remember that if you make changes to an application that has already been submitted you need to re-submit the application again after you have made the changes. When you re-submit the application, you will receive an email confirming re-submission. If you do not receive this, it has not been done correctly and we will be unable to process your application.
