Free School Meals

School Nursery Pupils – ONLY apply for your child if they are currently attending school nursery FULL days, otherwise apply when they transition into Reception Class.

Admissions

Primary to Secondary School If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, you need to apply for admission for a place in Secondary School (Year 7, September 2025) The Online System to apply for Secondary Places for September 2025 will open on 6th September 2024, National closing date is 31st October 2024.

Admission to Primary School

If your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021, you need to apply for admission for a place in Primary School (Reception Class, September 2025) The Online System to apply for Primary Places for September 2025 will open on 18th November 2024. National closing date is 15th January 2025. The Primary & Secondary Guide for Parents 2025-2026 booklet for Redcar & Cleveland contains very useful information which will help you to select your school preferences. The booklet is available on the Redcar and Cleveland website or by contacting the school admissions team by emailing schoolsadmissions@redcar-cleveland.gov.uk .

Please note - if you wish to apply for one of the Authority's Catholic Secondary or Primary Academies (Secondary - St Peter's or Sacred Heart. Primary - St Benedict’s, St Bedes, St Gabriel’s, St Josephs, St Margaret Clitherow’s, St Marys and St Paulinus Roman Catholic Primary Academy) as one of your preferences you will need to complete the main application and also a supplementary form. The supplementary form can be downloaded from the website. Or if you require a paper form please contact the team via email to request one to be posted to you. You also need to enclose a copy of your child's Baptism Certificate (if available) with the supplementary form. A form needs to be return to each of the catholic academies.

If you wish to apply under exceptional social and/or medical grounds, you will need to submit supporting information by email. If you have already started an online application and want to finish it, click on the link below "Continue Application". If you have already submitted an online application and want to change it click on the link below "Change Application". You can do either of these actions up to 23.59 on 15 January 2025.  Please remember that if you make changes to an application that has already been submitted you need to re-submit the application again after you have made the changes. When you re-submit the application, you will receive an email confirming re-submission. If you do not receive this, it has not been done correctly and we will be unable to process your application.

The School Admissions Online Application Site for Secondary School places for the Academic School Year 2025-26 is now *closed*. To make a late application for Secondary Entry 2025 you will need to complete a paper application form.
